When I first realized there were deer wandering around my property, I thought, how can I keep these around all the time? Seeing them nibbling on young growth and acorns, I knew they were here for the food, and not to look at me!

I started out with a small wooden feed trough, visible behind this lone deer pictured above. As more deer appeared to feed, I soon realized the feeder was not enough. Small piles are placed around on the ground so fighting over food is minimized.

Small piles of deer food are more visible in this photo. I spread the piles apart to keep deer separated and less aggressive.
