When I first realized there were deer wandering around my property, I
thought, how can I keep these around all the time? Seeing them nibbling on young growth and acorns, I knew they were
here for the food, and not to look at me!
I started out with a small wooden feed trough, visible behind this lone deer pictured
above. As more deer appeared to feed, I soon realized the feeder was not enough. Small piles are placed around on the
ground so fighting over food is minimized.
